Certifications
Both the associations that govern the home inspection industry require a certain amount of upgrading and education per year. Ongoing education is essential to maintain association membership and to keep up with modern construction techniques, the problems that occur in the homebuilding industry, and how to address them with maintenance and repair procedures.
The American Society of Home Inspectors
The directors (Gary, Brian, Steve) of Inspect International are members of The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), and their inspections meet or exceed the standards set out by the association.
The Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors
All inspectors are also members of the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (CAHPI). Membership requires inspectors to follow set standards of practice and the CAHPI code of ethics.
